Blogmas Day 10 – Christkindl

I’m not German. Oh well.

Blogmas day 10! Can somebody please explain to me how it is already the 10th of December?! Where did the time go? We’re already into double digits. I need a minute.

Anyway, today we’re going to be talking about something a bit more personal for today’s post–Christkindl.

Now I don’t expect a lot (any?) of you to know what Christkindl is. So for those of you who don’t know, Christkindl is a German Christmas festival. It’s basically a bunch of food and craft shops set up along a few streets in town. It’s so much fun to go: the food is always delicious (aka the funnel cakes) and the shops always have such unique trinkets.

My mom and I go to this festival every year. It’s in the town that my grandparents live, so we usually go up for the weekend and spend time with them as well.

They live in a small town a few hours away from home and it’s always so lovely to go and see them, as we don’t very often. It’s also just nice to be able to kind of get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life–even if it’s only for a few days.

I hope you enjoyed this little insight into a bit of my life and holiday traditions.

Feel free to leave a comment down below about any of your holiday traditions–I would love to hear about them!

Thanks for reading. ❤
