Blogmas Day 14 – Christmas Poem

Let’s take it down a notch.

Blogmas day 14! Hello everyone, welcome back! Today’s post is going to be a bit different.

I have always been a fan of poems and poetry in general. Especially poems that rhyme. So I have written one about everything Christmas-y that I could think of. And it rhymes. Enjoy.

Family and friends
All gathered ’round the fire
Laughing, talking, singing
Until we must retire
Snuggled in our beds
Awaiting old Saint Nick
Pretending to be sleeping
In hopes to play a trick
To catch a glimpse of red and white
Underneath the tree
Eating milk and cookies
Leaving gifts for you and me
Christmas morning comes
Children rush to look
To see their new bikes and toys
Or maybe just a book
Wonder and curiosity
Fill their little eyes
As they gaze upon the presents
Gasping in surprise
Bows and ribbon flying
Wrapping paper torn
Toys and clothes and gadgets
Bring new joy to be born
The excitement soon dies down
Not a frown in sight
Christmas Day is gone
Now in to Christmas night.

I hope you all enjoyed my little Christmas poem! Hopefully some of you will be able to relate to a few of the lines I’ve written.

Feel free to leave a comment down below about your Christmas mornings. Are they anything like this one? I would love to hear about them.

Thanks for reading. ❤
