Blogmas Day 23 – Christmas Makeup

I’m not an expert. Go easy on me?

Blogmas day 23! Oh my god. Christmas Eve is tomorrow. How is that physically possible? This month has literally gone by so quickly that I hardly had any time to appreciate it!

Well, onto the 2nd TO LAST DAY OF BLOGMAS. Sorry, I’m done now.

Today’s post is going to be about a Christmas makeup look! I will admit that there really isn’t anything super special about this look–it’s just what I plan on wearing to our Christmas Eve party.

So first I start with putting on concealer. If I were using a liquid foundation, I would put that on first but being that I use a powder foundation I start with concealer. I use the Maybelline New York concealer in number 15, which is called Fair Clair.

Then I put on my powder. I haven’t really used any liquid foundation before, so this is what I normally use as my base. I use the bareMinerals original foundation in the shade medium.

Next, I move onto my eyes. I am using the Little Black Beauty Book by elf. There are two versions of the eyeshadow booklet: warm and cool. I am using the warm addition as it contains more orange and brown colors (which I love.)

I use the shadow labeled #1 all over my lid, while I use #2  in the crease and outer corners of my eyes. I also bring that same shadow under my eyes–just under my lower lashes.

After the eyeshadow I curl my lashes and then put on one to two coats of the Revlon Volume + Length Magnified mascara. I use this on both my top and bottom lashes.

Last, but certainly not least, is my favorite part of any makeup look: the lips. Now seeing as this is a Christmas makeup look, I had to go with a red lip. Whenever I do this look I usually switch between two different lip colors–both of which are reds. The first is from a brand called StowAway. It comes in a mini lipstick trio, which includes 3 beautiful colors: cranberry, raspberry, and muted plea. The cranberry one is a beautifully deep red color. I use this one when I want to be a bit more subtle and sophisticated.

The other lip color I use is Ulta’s Matte Lip Cream in the color passionate. This is such a gorgeous red color and I’m  a sucker for matte lip colors. Fair warning: This one is a bit messy, but is so worth it in the end. This is a brighter lip and honestly just screams Christmas.

And that is my finished makeup look for Christmas! I hope some of you all try this or has inspired you all to create your own makeup looks!

Feel free to leave a comment below. What is in your holiday makeup look? Is there a red lip? Life’s too short not to wear red lipstick.

Thanks for reading. ❤
