What Time Is It?

Summertime!Hello, everybody! I hope you're all doing well! Today's post is in celebration of the official first day of summer!

Now while autumn will always be my favorite season, I am definitely a fan of summer. There aren't many things that are better than laying out by the pool with some music and a good book or sitting around a bonfire roasting marshmallows–and that's what summer is all about!

So, in honor of the first day of summer, I thought that I would share with you guys my summer bucket list! I decided to make a bucket list specifically for this summer, hoping that I would be able to do at least a few of the things on this list and have some serious fun in the sun.

*Anything in red has already been accomplished!

1. Pool Party

This is a MUST for everyone! Invite your friends, swim, listen to your favorite Spotify playlists, and indulge in some s'mores!

2. Picnic

I had been rewatching some of my favorite YouTube videos when I came across one from probably my all time favorite YouTuber: Zoella (seriously though guys, check her out if you haven't already). Anyways, she had made a gorgeous video about how to have the perfect picnic and it got me totally inspired. So I set to browsing Pinterest for hours, looking for recipes and decoration inspo, and bought a picnic basket from Target (aka the love of my life).

While reading is and has always been one of my favorite activities, I found that with starting college I didn't have very much time or motivation to sit down and read a book. But I can happily say that I have carved out some time to read and I finally finished A Series Of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. I have been on the 11th book for longer than I can remember, but one night I was really in the mood to read it. So I subsequently stayed up until 2:00 AM to finish it and read the entire 12th book the next day with the final 13th book to be finished only about a week later (I tried to pace myself mostly because I didn't want it to end). Now I just have to read the rest of his books which will only drag me deeper down the rabbit hole, but, what are you gonna do?

*Also go watch the Netflix series–it's amazing.

4. Fruit Picking

This has always been something I've wanted to do and there is an orchard not too far from where I live so I'm going to grab a couple of friends and make a day out off it! Plus–fresh picked fruit is always the best.

5. Take Pictures

I have a pretty nice DSLR that I don't think I've been using to it's full potential. Look out for some summery pics coming in future posts!

Now that I'm off from school for the summer, I am going to try to post a lot more on here for you guys (hence this blog post right here)! Stay tuned for all of my adventures!

7. DIYs

This one is semi-accomplished at this point, I like to say. I have done a DIY this summer–I made my own pin display (because I'm obsessed and have way too many aka not enough). I even sewed the edges around it instead of hot gluing which I am quite proud of myself for doing. But, as I said, this is only a part of the way finished. I want to make slime. It looks beautiful on Instagram and I need it in my life so I'm going to try and make my own (and when that inevitably fails I will buy some off Etsy)!

8. Mini Golf

The only time I've ever played mini golf is when I was maybe 12 on vacation in North Carolina with my family. There is a course pretty close to me so why not grab couple of friends and give it a shot (literally)!

9. Bike Rides

While cleaning out our shed, we found two vintage beach cruiser bikes that used to be my parents' for riding down the boardwalk at the beach. I am very into almost anything that's vintage so we took them to a local bike shop, had them fix up one so that it would be easier to ride up and down hills, and voila! A "new" bike for me to ride! All I need is a wooden basket on the front of it, which I have been looking for on Amazon, and it will be complete!

There you have it! My entire bucket list for the summer of 2017.

Feel free to leave a comment down below about anything on your bucket list or any ideas you have on what I could add to mine! I would love to hear them! And stayed tuned for some fun posts about all of my adventures this summer!

Thanks for reading. ❤
