Blogmas Day 21 – Spending Christmas Alone

There’s nothing wrong with taking some me time.

It is officially Blogmas day 21 and I am officially freaking out because there are only four more FREAKING days until Christmas! This month has honestly been the quickest December I have ever experienced.

Today’s topic of discussion may seem to be a bit of a downer, but it’s really not! Whether you’re spending Christmas alone by your own decision or by no choice of your own, there’s no reason that it has to be a bad time.

There are so many things that you can do by yourself that will absolutely make your holiday enjoyable. Here are a few suggestions!

1. Color

Coloring is something that is so therapeutic for me. With some Netflix, a snack, and a drink, I could honestly sit and color for hours.

2. Puzzles

Do a puzzle! It doesn’t have to be a particularly difficult one–just one that you will enjoy. There’s something so rewarding about completing a puzzle that there’s no way to be upset.

3. Food

TREAT YO SELF! The holidays are all about indulging yourself in the things that you love most! Grab some of your favorite takeout, try out a new recipe you’ve been dying to give a go–make whatever is going to make you feel all warm and fuzzy from the inside out!

4. Bubble Bath

I am a huge proponent of taking bubble baths. Relaxing, surrounding by warmth is such nice feeling that everyone can enjoy. If you have a bath in your home, capitalize on it! Light some candles, grab a book, and enjoy!

5. Read

Reading is one of my favorite past times and I seriously think that anyone can enjoy it. If you don’t like to read, then you just haven’t found the right book yet. Find a book that looks / sounds interesting to you and give it a try.

There we have it! Some great things to do by yourself! Being alone doesn’t mean that you have to feel lonely. Take some much-needed me time and enjoy the complete solitude.

Feel free to leave a comment down below! How are you spending the holiday season? What are your favorite things to do this time of year? I’d love to know.

Thanks for reading. โค
